| Having worked with these scores and kids for many years I have found it helpful to introduce each piece in certain ways that help to understand the background of the music and its setting as well as inspire the imagination and enthusiasm of the kids. On this page are some suggestions that you may find helpful starting points. The pictures below can help to set the mood of this piece. - Keith Sharp | ||

The
Pioneer series brings the originality, freshness and energy of early
Australian music into the classroom. |
| About Bandicoot Scoot |
The playful rhythm and light springy texture of this composition, reflects the scampering gait of a small Australian marsupial, the bandicoot. The piece provides a useful study in stroke play from legato to spiccato and is designed for advanced primary to junior high school ensembles. Thematic material is shared quite equally amongst the parts. Terrific fun for all. |
| Useful points to remember: |
| · Playing range between 4th year and 7th year of learning. · Useful study in off the string playing. · Simple Bass part. |
