Keith Sharp’s creations are a breath of fresh air. The tunes are delightfully original, the melodies charming and the orchestrations sensitive to the needs of young players. I use Keith’s compositions year after year because they are musically and educationally sound and my students love playing them.
I applaud Keith’s imaginative scoring and sense of adventure in creating music of varied styles from rollicking fiddle music to lyrical and even mystical offerings. There is something for every taste and occasion.

The Abbey
Lovely Tunes, mellow harmonies; pleasant duets between
sections.
Crocodile Hornpipe
Melody in viola and cello with spiccato in other parts
and easy double stops in violins 1 & 2; melody and

What a pleasure it was to play all of Keith Sharp's pieces recently for his CD! The music is tuneful, witty and refreshing and displays the composer's ease in both traditional and folk string writing.
Most striking, however, is Keith's rare ability to incorporate his keen understanding of important pedagogic principles into compositions that are instantly appealing to teachers and students alike.
Bravo Keith!

Every
piece artistic! |
|
Keith Sharp's string orchestra pieces are educational .. but more than that, every piece is artistic! A true musical experience for every player.
Wonderfully crafted music enhancing the resonance of every instrument. This music really allows every ensemble to experience the most beautiful of string orchestra timbres at any level.
All of my ensembles' members enjoy performing and rehearsing Keith's pieces. My primary ensembles would happily play "Dwarf March" or "A Salty Sailor's Song" at every rehearsal!
